There are a lot of day outings you can do with your partner and/or children. We have listed a few holiday ideas for your staycation in your own residence or at least within the UK.

Boat Tour

On a warm summer day, it’s great to spend an afternoon on a boat. The UK has some nice boat tours to offer. The Thames is a popular boat touring destination, but you can also think of a boat to Old Trafford, Weymouth, Southampton or Cambridge. Some boat tours offer dinner, drinks or other activities while you are relaxing in a boat. And if you like to keep the charge of your own boat, you can go canoeing, kayaking or fishing.

A London Day Outing

The Natural History Museum is free as is the science museum. And, if you’re brave enough, you could try visiting The London Dungeon. Besides all of these attractions, London also has a great shopping street containing a wide variety of stores for everyone. And while you’re in the city anyway, don’t forget to forget to stop by at Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards.

Stonehenge

If you’ve never seen Stonehenge, your holiday might be the time to do it. The mysterious stones are surrounded by many stories and you might want to see them in real life to see if they are as impressive as people say they are. It’s free, so you can make a trip whenever you feel like it. Mornings and evenings are the best places for visiting Stonehenge because the sunset and sundown cast shadows on the stones and make them look different than they do during the day.
